In order to ensure a relaxing and pleasant experience at Sparadise, we've answered some of the questions guests of our spa frequently ask. Reviewing these suggestions will help you prepare for your upcoming Spa visit.
A hot shower can relax you before your massage treatment and make it more enjoyable. Do not eat a heavy meal or consume alcohol before your massage. Wear comfortable, easy to remove clothing and shoes, try not to wear any jewelry that may inhibit the therapist strokes, or makeup if you would like a face massage. Please arrive about 5-10 minutes early as you will need to fill out a client intake form and discuss the areas you want massaged with the therapist and so we can start your massage on time.
It is up to you. Most clients remove all clothing others choose to leave on underwear. The goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible. If you prefer you may leave on any clothing that will help you to be at ease and feel more relaxed. At the beginning of your service the therapist will leave the room momentarily while you undress and get in between the sheets of the table so that your body is covered. Don’t worry about your body, therapist are used to working on many body types and are only concerned with your comfort and therapy. Your therapist will always keep your body properly draped with sheets so you are never unnecessarily exposed. The therapist will only uncover the area of the body being worked. If you ever feel uncomfortable simply let the therapist know so they can make the necessary adjustments.
Your massage or body treatment will take place in a warm, comfortable, private room. Soothing music will be played to help you relax. Candles and/or Aromatherapy may be used, some people suffer from allergies or are sensitive to odors and these items can be omitted, so please let the Therapist know if you prefer not to have these items used during your service. Please make a note that you prefer the room odor free in the comment box when booking on-line appointments or leave a message when calling to schedule by phone.
Don’t get a massage if you are feeling ill, have a fever, infection, or contagious rashes. Massage should not be performed in any area of the body with blood clots, fractures or weakened bones, open or healing wounds, skin infections, or where there has been a recent surgery. If you are pregnant wait until your second trimester before getting a massage. Your body is dealing with so many changes in your first trimester it is best to not overwhelm your system with bodywork. In second and third trimesters inform your doctor about your desire to receive a massage and be sure they agree it will be beneficial. There are several medications and medical conditions that would make massage inappropriate, consult your physician or therapist if you have any questions. If you have recently had surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or are currently under physicians care you should consult with them when would be the best time to resume massage and it is strongly advised you receive written recommendation for massage prior to any sessions. It is at the therapist’s discretion whether or not to require approval from your doctor.
Make yourself comfortable. If your therapist wants you to adjust your position they will move you or ask you to adjust your position in order to continue your massage. Feel free to change your position anytime to make yourself comfortable. We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Do not hesitate to ask questions or make comments to the therapist at anytime.
Most people feel very relaxed, take your time getting up off the table it is possible you may feel a bit lightheaded. The intention of deep tissue massage is not to cause pain, although it is possible for muscle tenderness to occur in the days following treatment. You may feel a little sore like when you do a good workout, it will subside in a few days. Taking a hot Epsom Salt bath may help ease soreness. Remember to drink plenty of water and/or herbal teas, toxins are released from your soft tissues during massage and water will aid the systems of your body to function properly and rid them from your body. Initially you may feel a sense of euphoria, slow and calm. Many times people then experience increased energy, heightened awareness and greater productivity in the coming days.
To get the most out of your massage try to free your thoughts, relax your mind and focus on taking deep breaths. Relax your body and allow the therapist to perform the work as you enjoy the tranquility of the service. · Give honest feedback to the therapist. You may talk or be quiet during the session your therapist will take your lead! · Turn off your cell phone. · Remove jewelry. · Use the restroom prior to treatment. · Understand you are getting Therapeutic Massage which is not a sensual experience. · Please talk quietly in public areas as other therapists are working on clients in the other suites. · Show up 5-10 minutes before appointment time to give yourself time to undress. · If you schedule more than 1 treatment get body treatments before your massage, get facials after your massage. · Drink plenty of water before and after treatments.
To ensure you receive all the spa treatments you want, when you want, not only is advance booking suggested, it is highly recommended. Guests may book up to one month in advance of their arrival. Some treatments may not be available every day. Call our reservation agents at 800-407-3002 or directly to the spa at 435.652-5782 to reserve your appointments for spa, health and fitness.
We respectfully ask that you give the Spa a minimum of 24 hours notice if you must cancel an appointment. The full service(s) cost will be charged for any late cancellation or no-show appointment. A 48 hour notice is requested for multiple services or package appointments.
Our opening hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, rain or shine, year-round. We are closed December 25th. If you have a massage or a body treatment, we recommend you arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment.
Please notify a spa professional before scheduling your appointment and they will suggest a plan that’s right for you.
A robe, slippers and lockers are provided for your convenience at the spa or you may choose to wear the robe from your room. It is recommended that you shower before receiving your treatment and that you disrobe for your spa services. Your therapist will leave the room as you disrobe and you will lay under a sheet on the table.
Arriving late will limit the time for your spa treatment, lessening its effectiveness and your enjoyment. As your service was reserved at a specific time, your treatment will end at its set time so that the next guest is not inconvenienced and the full treatment price will apply.

Please leave all valuables in your room’s safety deposit box or the secured lockers in the changing rooms. Rela is not responsible for lost or forgotten valuables.

Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so no less than four hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Certain products may irritate newly-shaven skin.
